Shelley MacDonald Beaulieu is a transplant from the ROC (Rest of Canada). Originally hailing from the Maritimes, she did the logical thing and moved as far away from them as possible to Vancouver. Perhaps having pangs of regret, she decided to move three-quarters of the way back to Montreal.
Shelley used to work in the restaurant business, and she doesn’t mince words when she reviews a place. She does mince plenty of other things when she creates food and recipes for her website, oneroastchicken.com, with the hope of enlightening the multitudes among us who burn the water while cooking.
Shelley is also an artist and photographer, and together with her new husband and artist/photographer André Beaulieu she brings a true enthusiasm for food and all its trimmings to all of us here at montrealfood.com.
