This Portuguese restaurant comes in two contrasting packagesromantic or raucous. The only bridges between these two ambiences are a narrow passage, a common menu and a folksinger. The guitarist strolls back and forth from the soft-lit, quiet dining room to the brightly lit, tavern-like roomwhere the locals gather to argue about sports or whatever over a beer and Doval's popular grilled chicken, served with thick, greasy fries.
Quarters and halves of this chicken can be seen sizzling on an open grill behind a small bar along with quail and a chunk of fish or two. They also have good grilled fish, often grouper, sardines and squid.
