This is the quintessential summer restaurant. Go through the restaurant to the hidden terrasse with white plastic tables and patio lanterns situated in the heart of the Plateau's backyards. A large tree with low-hanging branches makes you feel as if you're having supper in some fun vacation lakeside or ocean "joint." Inside, the decor is basic and funky coloured, with mis-matched chairs and little nooks and crannies that are cozy in any season!

Bijù is located so far east on Duluth that many habitués of the street may not even be aware it exists! Bijù had a license for years, during which time it was thought of primarily as a Mexican restaurant.

Today, Louisiana Cajun food is the most featured cuisine at Bijù, followed by Mexican, then Brazilian.

Come to Bijù for the main-course Mexican, but especially for the Cajun food, which features heavily on the chalkboard menu, where any restaurateur's heart truly is. The enchiladas are as good as anyone's, the Cajun homemade pasta with a peppery rose sauce is savoury, and the shrimp are good as well.
