Chez Ennio is a small, owner-run restaurant that is filling two very vital needs: first of all, it is the ONLY BYOB in the downtown core, and second, it is the only BYOB to offer fine quality, passably authentic Italian food in the city.

At Chez Ennio, the food will always be more generous than your appetite: the portion of eggplant parmigiana is tasty, subtly spiced and, er, huge! Other favourites include the saltimbocca of veal, in an authentic version that includes the use of fresh sage; the quail, the rabbit, and various other veal dishes, like the escalope de veau cordon-bleu and the "veal princess." Pasta lovers can choose from some ten varieties on the menu!

Chez Ennio is a two-person operation, so the gap between courses will give you time to digest, sip wine and whisper sweet nothings to your dinner companion. Go with the flow, relax, and have an enjoyable "slow-food" evening! In Italy, there is actually an organization called "slow-food" that celebrates quality of life, and promotes long, languorously paced meals, punctuated by fine wine and good conversation. It was started as a response to "fast-food," which is (alas!) creeping into even the Italian lifestyle.
