The food here is far more varied and interesting than in similar moderately priced Vietnamese restaurants, which always seem to have a surfeit of vermicelli soups and brochettes. The dishes reflect the shared culinary influences of southeast Asia.
Lemongrass and fish-soya sauce play a predictable role, but you'll also find more tamarind, coconut milk, curries and fish than in the average Vietnamese restaurant in Montreal. Shrimp-and-tamarind soup, stuffed crab, veal liver with green papaya and salt- and-pepper shrimp are among the interesting treats here.
