Situated in a square-cut, 1950s apartment house, El Morocco has a strictly kosher kitchen. It is embellished with fabric and brass for an exotic and welcoming feel.
While its Moroccan cooking is far from authentic, its many loyal customers come here for the generous plates of chicken and beef brochettes ($14.95 with salad and fries) and the sweet-savoury chicken pastilla ($7.50). Gooey, delicious pastries ($4) and very minty, Moroccan tea for the finale. Reservations recommended.
