Let the owners of Bazou and Jello Bar knock you out with their strong and tasty martinis in this half-tapas, half-lounge restaurant that's as close to Miami Beach as you'Il get within the shadow of Télé-Métropole and Radio-Canada. Try the very new-wave American table d'hôte—light and crazy, like the conversation after a couple of vodkas. Alternatively, nibble on one of the many thoughtfully prepared entrées. What better way to mitigate the stealthful affects of a powerful martini? The bread from the Pâtisserie Belge ain't great—the only real fault in an otherwise impeccable establishment. A humungous, American-scale terrace to catch rays. Sunday brunch to see who woke up with whom. Friendly service, delicious food. Clientele from the village and adjacent areas.

Sample menu: Prosciutto quesadillas, explosive grilled shrimps, goat cheese fondant with sweet pepper sauce, sushi rolls, garlic dates with teriyaki sauce and kiwi, lamb samosas in mango sauce, shrimp roll, tomato and garlic calf cannelloni, coriander butter mahi-mahi, Meaux mustard and honey-fig salmon, apricot and thyme duck magret, Key-lime pie, butterscotch profiteroles.
