Treehouse
4120 Ste. Catherine St. W., 2nd floor

Open Wed.-Sun. from 5:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., until midnight Fri-Sat. Closed Mon-Tue. Licensed. Major credit cards.. 932-5654.
A joyously and endearingly decorated hideaway, Treehouse is the showcase for the immensely talented Tri Du and his Japanese/Asian cuisine. Personalized maki sushis ($8- $10) combine quality ingredients (yellowtail, toro, filet mignon) with fruit (mango, melon) and special sauces.

Shrimps poached in sake ($15); tempuras of sea-urchin, foie gras and lobster ($14-$199; tuna tartare with miso and caviar ($16); and Russian caviar ($36- $80) are among a slew of highly recommendable, justifiably extravagant delicacies. Excellent light-yet-meaningful desserts ($8.50) are a bonus. Reservations essential.
